Jamie Klotz
General Manager & Head Swimming Coach
Jamie Klotz is the Farmington Club Manager and Head Swimming Coach and has called Farmington home for the past 21 summers. With a career around pools that began in 1988—as a lifeguard, competitive swimmer, and swim coach—Jamie has coached swimming competitively for more than 35 years. During the off-season, Jamie is a special education teacher at New Trier High School and coaches cross country and track and field, with prior high school swimming coaching experience at Elk Grove, Buffalo Grove, and St. Viator High Schools.
Farmington holds a special place for Jamie because it reflects everything that makes summer at the pool meaningful: a strong sense of family, an inclusive and competitive swim team, and a place where kids grow up together. Many members and lifeguards began at Farmington as young swimmers and have come full circle, creating a unique sense of continuity. What began in 2004 as a summer job has become a long-term home, and Jamie considers Farmington one of the northwest suburbs’ true hidden gems.
