Junior Classes

Programs

Junior Classes - Offered Mon-Thursday to accommodate a wide variety of schedules. Unsure which level is best for your child to sign up? Ask our head pro Max Brito for an evaluation.

  • Tiny Hitters - An exciting program designed for 3-4 years old to promote fun and success using low compression red balls and short racquets. Emphasis is on hand-eye coordination, balance, fitness, motor skill development, fun and gradual use of a racquet. Racquet size 19”to 21”.
     

  • Hot Shots - 5-8 years old will learn proper technique for hitting volleys, ground strokes, and fun challenging games. Kids will improve their agility with the use of weaving cones, dots to improve reflexes, ladders and tennis trivia. Racquet size up to 23”.
     

  • Future Stars - 8-12 years old will work on the fundamentals using consistent ground strokes, volleys, overhead serves, grips, balance and hand-eye skills that are keys to the game. Racquet size 25” to 27”.
     

  • Teen Tennis - 13+ years old - Players will hit lots of balls and tons of points, focusing on proper technique, sportsmanship and court etiquette as well as learning to play competitive points and games. Players will also learn how to play offensive and defensive shots to add to their tennis game. This is a good class to attend for those who have their sights on playing high school tennis. Racquet size 27”.

  • Advanced Teen Tennis -  Designed for high school athletes and tournament players ready to elevate their match performance. This program emphasizes live-ball point play, match simulation, and advanced shot selection to help players build points with purpose. Athletes will sharpen doubles strategy, court positioning, and communication for competitive success. Sessions focus on smart decision-making and executing high-percentage plays under pressure. It’s a high-intensity, match-focused environment for serious competitors.

  • Junior Match Play - Open play designed for players who simply want to get on court and compete. There’s no instructor—just show up, match up, and play. Participants rotate opponents, play points, and gain valuable match experience in a relaxed, fun environment. It’s a great way to build confidence, stay sharp, and enjoy friendly competition with other juniors.​

  • Kids Pickleball 8 & under - A fun, beginner-friendly introduction to the game designed just for young players. The first four weeks are instructor-led, focusing on fundamentals like grip, basic strokes, movement, and simple scoring through engaging drills and games. Players will build coordination, confidence, and an understanding of the rules in a supportive, energetic environment.

Farmington’s Aquatic & Tennis programs are offered exclusively to Farmington Bath & Tennis members. Juniors must be on a family membership to register. Individual membership for individuals under 18 is not applicable. If you're not a member, please click here to email us for more information about joining Farmington.
