2022 Adult Tennis Season

 

Adult Tennis starts the first week of June

The leagues are a great way to put all your tennis skills into action. The leagues are lots of fun and available at all levels. If you would like an evaluation of your level, contact our Tennis Pro, Mike Reyes.  All paid league members have priority to the courts.

 

The number of courts will be assigned based on the number of paid league participants.

Farmington Aquatics &Tennis programs are offered for Farmington Bath & Tennis Members.  Membership must be a Family membership.  Individual memberships under 18 is not applicable.  If your not a member, please click here to email us for more information about joining Farmington.

Adult classes – Evaluations are available for placement with the pro or see the ratings guidelines posted on the website

  • Cardio Tennis - tired of long walks, weights or the treadmill, then join us for an energetic workout filled with fast paced moving drills. Bring something to drink, towel and lots of energy. This will satisfy your workout for the day.
     

  • Stroke of the Week - Does part of your game need a tune up or adjustment to be more competitive? Then, sign up for any of the 8 week clinic we are conducting this summer. Maximum 4 players per court. Week 1-ground strokes. Week 2-volleys and overheads. Week 3-serves/return of serves. Week 4-specialty shot. Week 5-doubles strategy. Week 6-singles strategy. Week 7 offense and defense doubles. Week 8-2 on 1 drills. Offered 3 times per week – morning, evening and weekend class, may add classes if in demand
     

  • 3.75+ and Advanced Men’s Drills - Advance level players will drill on all strokes and play high intensity pressure points and games. – Monday evening
     

  • Intermediate Men’s Drill - action oriented match/drill play to improve competitive skills, shot consistency and percentage shots will be emphasized - Tuesday evening
     

  • Mixed Doubles Beginner Lesson - Players will learn proper technique for hitting volleys, ground strokes, serves, court position, teamwork and strategy. Wednesday evening and Saturday morning
     

  • Ladies Drills- focusing on doubles position, percentage points, competitive at the net with volleys/poaching and learning to escape losing games. The drills will be tailored to level of play. Ladies drills assume players have played in competitive matches in the past.
     

  • Tennis Fundamentals – New to tennis or haven’t played in a long time? This class will focus on fundamentals of the game including perfecting ground strokes, volleys, serving, scoring and finally progressing to basic doubles strategy.

 

Private and group lessons will be available by contacting the pro directly once the season gets underway.

Competitive Team Tennis

Farmington Team Tennis returns this summer with competitive team tennis for all levels of play.

  • Players are placed on teams (4-6 men and 4-6 women depending upon interest) and play against their level of play.

  • Matches will consist of two rounds. The first is the men and women’s doubles rounds, the second will be mixed doubles.

  • We will have a play off and a club championship at the end of summer.

  • Matches will be held on Sunday afternoons on June 5, 12, 26, July 10, 17 and 24-semi-finals/finals coordinated for August.

 

Weekly Social Leagues


Farmington Weekly Social Leagues – tennis matches for all levels of play consisting of

  • 1.5 hours of tennis followed by a social hour….or hours.

  • Each social/dinner hour is set up differently based upon the wishes of the group.

  • Cost is $60 and covers court time and balls.

  • Leagues meet each week and have a maximum of 3 clay courts available.

  • Not sure of your rating? We can set up evaluation drills prior to the season so you can meet our Pro Mike, and he can get to know the players at the start of the season.


Volunteer opportunity: Please let us know if you are willing to coordinate the league play. We need one person per league. This person coordinates who will be playing each night and who is bringing or ordering food for the group each week.

Men’s Leagues

  • Advanced league – 3.75+ league with competitive play 

  • Beginner 2.0-3.0 league 

  • All level league - All levels of play can enjoy playing this competitive fun social tennis Saturday Morning

 
Women’s Leagues

We are offering three level of leagues

  • Advanced Women’s League – Players 3.75 and above or Fox Valley B team as a guideline: 

  • Intermediate Women’s League – Players 3.00 to 3.75 or Fox Valley C team as a guideline: 

  • Beginning League – Players 2.0 - 3.0 - those who know the fundamentals of the game and want to improve their doubles play 
     

Mini Drills (great for after work/prior to social leagues), Play with a Pro events and the returning Stroke of the Week and Cardio tennis programs.

 

Tennis Social Events

 

We have several tennis social events planned throughout the summer -

  • June 17, July 15 and August 22 - Mixed Tennis Themed Socials

Not sure of your rating when looking through class offerings? No problem, we will have no charge evaluation drills prior to lessons starting so you can meet him and he can get to know the players at the before the start of the season. Select USTA guidelines for more details
